Sr. Accountant or Assistant Controller

Reason for Opening:
Current Senior Accountant is retiring.
Role can be hired as Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller depending on experience.
Work Hours:
35-hour workweek, East Coast hours. Paid 1-hour lunch. Schedules: 6-2, 7-3, or 8-4.

Compensation:
Senior Accountant: $80,000-$90,000
Assistant Controller: $95,000-$125,000

Must-Haves
For Senior Accountant:
* Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
* 3-5 years general ledger accounting experience
* Strong Excel proficiency
* Industry experience preferred (financial services / investment)
* CPA eligibility a plus
* Reports to Controller

For Assistant Controller:
* Bachelor's in Accounting (Master's preferred)
* Eligible for CPA or active CPA
* 3 years external accounting experience
* 3-5+ years GL experience
* 2+ years accounting management experience
* Partnership tax accounting understanding
* Strong US GAAP knowledge
* Strong Excel (must be proficient)
* Reports to Controller
